Changan has officially unveiled a new version of the Changan X5 Plus crossover – Whale Joy Edition. The initial price of the car is 89.9 thousand yuan, but already at the start of the big discounts are offered, lowering the price almost twice – to 46.9 thousand yuan ($ 6500). That is, in China it is even cheaper than the cheapest “Granta”, which in Russia is not so easy to buy.

Dimensions of the car: 4540 x 1860 x 1620 mm, wheelbase – 2715 mm. The crossover is equipped with a 1.5-liter turbo engine with 187 hp and a robotized 7-speed gearbox. The front suspension of the car is with McPherson struts, but the rear suspension is multi-lever, which is something unimaginable for a car for such minimal money. The crossover accelerates to 100 km/h in 7.51 seconds.

Changan X5 PLUS Whale Joy Edition is equipped with three screens with a total diagonal of 30 inches, FaceID 3.0 system (it monitors the state of not only the driver, but also the front passenger, it also allows you to start the car by scanning the face).

Another unique system for a car of this price category – parking EaglePilot: in its work it relies on 12 ultrasonic radars and 6 high-definition cameras. This allows to realize various scenarios of automatic parking, including parking from inside the car, remote parking from the key, remote parking from a smartphone.
